Later Pre-Raphaelite pictures proved to be the perfect vehicle for the dreams and aspirations of Victorian society. This course will investigate the attitudes to women, men, and relationships through key preoccupations which emerged at the end of the 19th century.
For the last 30 years, Tim has been a freelance cultural and art historian specialising in 17th and 19th century art and society. He lectures for Cambridge University, the WEA, NADFAS and the Art Fund, and presents residential study courses in Britain and Europe.
