Birdwatching for Beginners in Wharfedale
May 4 @ 4:00 pm - May 6 @ 3:00 pm£182
The Birds of Garden, Woodland & Moorland
Leader: Chris Bradshaw
Join us on a relaxed birdwatching break aimed at people new to birdwatching, or those wishing to learn a little more and enjoy commoner birds in a tranquil location. We will have a programme of birdwatching walks around the gardens, Strid Wood, and the moorland of Barden and Grimwith, which will focus on learning how to identify and understand more about the life histories of resident and migrant birds in the area.
There will also be plenty of opportunity to experience one of nature’s most delightful spring events; the dawn chorus.
Chris Bradshaw has been working as a freelance ornithologist and birdwatching tour guide for over 20 years. Although frequently to be found overseas, he runs customised birdwatching trips in the UK and finds great joy in watching and passing on his knowledge of the commoner British birds which first inspired his interest as a child.
Please bring binoculars!
