Hilary is a retired music teacher having played recorder for over 50 years. She started conducting and teaching whilst in the school 6th form, then continued her musical studies at the Birmingham School of Music. She has worked as a peripatetic woodwind tutor for more than 25 years. Playing in a local consort as well as an early music wind ensemble, she also conducts SRP meetings to indulge her passion for both ancient and modern recorder music.
