Tutor: Mary Tyers
Ensemble playing in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, this workshop is aimed at experienced adult players who ideally offer two instruments and are able to swap between them. You should have the ability to hold your own part in a group as well as good sight-reading skills. Expect a wide variety of interesting music and technique tuition, as required. Contact Pauline on firstname.lastname@example.org for further details. Bookings should be made through the Hall.
Mary is well-established in the north of England as both teacher and performer. She founded and continues to be the musical director of the Durham branch of the Society of Recorder Players. She was awarded the SRP’s Certificate for Long Service to Recorder Playing in February 2015. Mary has also taught recorder and flute at Durham and Newcastle Universities and is regularly invited to guest conduct other SRP branches and festivals. She tutors in the Early Music summer schools NORVIS and HISS.
