Staying At Parcevall Hall

There are 17 charming, clean and simple but comfortable bedrooms at Parcevall
Hall, which can accommodate up to 28 people.

Most guests stay on a full board basis, but some prefer to explore during the day
and stay on either a dinner, bed and breakfast or B&B basis. All meals are served
in the dining room which is one of the oldest parts of the Hall.

We have a small gift shop selling various items including greetings cards, chocolate,
books, jams, chutneys and toiletries.

The Milner Room is our largest meeting area, which has a high quality audio-visual
system and is situated downstairs with easy access from the archway entrance.
Upstairs is the Writing Room and St Blaise, a more intimate meeting place for
smaller groups or relaxation.

The Solar Lounge is guests’ favourite gathering place. It’s a charming, welcoming
and comfortable room where you will also find the honesty bar. The door from
the Solar leads onto a terrace, where you can sit and look out over the splendid
gardens to the rocky peak of Simon’s Seat.

Parcevall has an indoor and an outdoor chapel. All are welcome to our services.
There is a service of Holy Communion in the indoor chapel each Tuesday at 10.15am.

All guests have free access to the gardens during their stay.

Our Guests Tell Us...

“Parcevall is a place where the wells of God’s peace and presence are open and flowing”

"What a glorious location in sunshine and snow! Far away from the city, a place of peace to be returned to. Thank you."

“I've been to a couple of organised Quiet Days and they have been super.  Good welcome, freedom to use a great deal of the house (so helpful) and the garden is just wonderful.”

“The peaceful surroundings, great food and comfortable accommodation have always ensured a most beneficial time for study, sharing ideas or just relaxing.”

"As ever - perfect! Nowhere else has the atmosphere, food or company!"

"Many thanks for a wonderful experience.  What a beautiful house.  The staff are marvellous."

“Underpinning all this is the tangible presence of the Lord; the mysterious factor that makes PH a retreat house, not a hotel, undefinably different. This I believe is due to PH being steeped in prayer, the dedicated staff & not forgetting the Chaplains. This tangible presence I know is felt by non-Christians who come for non-Christian meeting/conferences etc. They have asked ‘What is it that is so different about this place?’”

“We only come once a year & keep coming because we just love to come! Everything is perfect for our group! You seem to supply all our needs!”

"One feels that God is at the centre of things here.  Some unexpected joy for me."

"With much thanks for all the care you have given us throughout our stay."
