Fellowship of Contemplative Prayer Retreat
October 29 @ 4:00 pm - October 31 @ 3:00 pm£156
Witness: Revd Martin Thorpe
A silent ‘listening’ weekend. ‘Jesus invites you into His Presence.’ Contemplative life is the expression of the desire to seek stillness amid the rush of life, to hear ‘the still small voice’ amid today’s modern clamour; to search for and listen to God.
Experienced with others in a group, silence is deeper and more powerful than when alone. By making a dedicated personal space for yourself and your relationship with God, you are giving yourself and Him a wonderful gift.
A Dominical saying is taken for each exercise and contemplated. We listen to God. In intercession towards the end of each exercise we bring others, family, friends and world events into the silence so that they too are enfolded in God’s purposes and healing.
Martin is Team Vicar at St James’ Westbrook Church in Warrington. To book, and for more information on any aspect of this FCP Retreat, please contact Sue Davies on 01924 255129/07749 592 858 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
